Maged Kharouba, PhD student and Killam scholar

Congratulations to Neuro-CPK PhD student, Maged Kharouba, on receiving the Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Scholarship.

Killam doctoral scholarships are the most prestigious graduate award administered by the University of Alberta and are highly competitive. According to Dorothy J. Killam, the widow of Izaak Killam, scholarships are awarded to those who are:

...likely to contribute to the advancement of learning or to win distinction in a profession.

A Killam scholar should not be a one-sided person...

Special distinction of intellect should be founded upon sound character.

We couldn't agree more. Congratulations, Maged!
